As an ECOR Fund for Medical Discovery postdoctoral fellow at Harvard, I was able to harness the power of cutting edge omics technology to accelerate fundamental discoveries in understanding the mechanisms used by bacteria to cause diarrheal diseases. New pathways and metabolites that I have identified can engender novel small molecule therapeutics to manage infectious agents without killing them. I was invited to multiple distinguished venues such as Gordon Research Seminars as a discussion leader, and as a speaker at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories, Harvard Medical School, and Gordon Research Conferences to share my fellowship research.
